  • As Directors we have collectively over 32 years’ experience within schools.
  • As Directors we will be offering to utilise ourselves, as well as others, within schools/academies.
  • We will only use the services of ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ of which many are personally known by ourselves or recommended to us by trusted professionals.
  • We will build our company on recommendations of both schools and supply staff.
  • We will review the quality of staff regularly.
  • Staff will review their own experience each visit.

What can you expect from us?

  • Our pricing is competitive and fair to both staff and schools alike.
  • We will endeavour to provide you with information about the school/academy prior to your first visit in order for you to provide the best service.
  • We will ensure you have appropriate qualifications and legal requirements to undertake the roles required and receive regular training in key areas with regards to working with children including Safeguarding and Prevent training.
  • We will ensure that you are paid weekly by whichever means are best for you eg cheque, BACs transfer.
  • We will endeavour to supply you with work that suits your needs with regards to emergency supply, short term supply, long term supply, exam invigilation and tutoring.
  • We will support you through lesson observations as well as feedback from schools on our evaluation form after each assignment on a regular basis.
  • We will ask for your feedback about the schools so we can ensure that you are placed in schools that you prefer wherever possible.

What do we expect from you?

  • You will read the introduction pack about the school/academy.
  • You will arrive and report to the supervisor in charge of cover no later than 8.15am (dependent upon time school notifies Top Up Teacher Plus Ltd).
  • You will conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
  • You will actively engage with students within all lessons taught/covered.
  • You will follow work set.
  • You will follow the behaviour management policy of the school (where provided).
  • You will leave the classroom in the same condition as when you arrived.
  • You will complete Top Up Teachers Plus Ltd evaluation form for the teachers whose lessons have been covered. A copy is retained for evidence for Top Up Teachers Plus Ltd.
  • You will make sure timesheets are signed by appropriate supervisor/senior management.

What extra do we expect from UPS staff paid on our highest scale?

  • UPS staff will assist, if required, with break/lunchtime/after school/detention duty (although must have at least 20 minute lunch break). 
  • UPS will assist, if required, with data logging/assessment tasks in relation to lessons taught, if within their areas of specialism (within school hours).
  • UPS will provide additional extra-curricular club linked to staff’s specialist subject(s) once a week for a period of at least 45 minutes if engaged on a placement of at least 6 weeks.

What do we expect from schools?

  • We expect that schools will provide us with information regarding daily routines and procedures either in the form of a handbook or information sheet to facilitate the best service from you.
  • Wherever possible, we request that schools inform us of emergency supply needs before 7am on the day supply is needed to ensure you can arrive by designated time.
  • We expect that schools will use our evaluation form to provide us with feedback on our staff following their initial visit and then at least half termly thereafter.  
  • We expect that schools will sign the Timesheets provided by you, ensuring prompt payment for yourself.
